The Valley of Elah
Like the Brave One the Valley of Elah uses modern technologies --cell phone video to create a backstory, or a reason for a murder. Captured during the war in Iraq the snippets of corrupted video are the only clues the main character has to try to understand his son's experience in the war. While the movie is about finding the murderer, its the back and forth, and the reconstructing of an experience not witnessed through photos and videos to find answers that makes the film interesting.
