The Brave One is a curious film. It is an eerie look at NYC,during both day and night. It follows the lead character as she records the sights and sounds of the city both before and after her tragedy. The thing that stood out, aside for the moral issues of taking a life was the reliance on using technology, both video and sound recordings to trigger memory. Why look at a video of your own beating? or listen to the recording of a murder you committed. or watch a murder again captured by a surveillance camera?
